About Creation Therapeutics
Creation Therapeutics is a massage and bodywork practice owned and operated by Kim Boomhower, NCLMBT #7567. Creation Therapeutics is located in the offices of Triangle Acupuncture Clinic, Chapel Hill's premier, full scale acupuncture clinic and herbal pharmacy. Creation Therapeutics offers massage and bodywork therapy for wellness, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and infant clients, and is a part of Triangle Acupuncture Clinic's Fertility Wellness program. The intention of the Fertility Wellness program is educate women on their menstral cycles, correct imbalances in the body that may be preventing conception, and to support women physically, mentally and emotionally during the process of becoming pregnant.
The mission at Creation Therapeutics is to honor the creation of life through therapeutic touch. Touch is essential to all stages of human life. It is a means of communication, learning and deep healing. Kim uses various modalities in her practice, depending on what goals the client is trying to achieve. These may include traditional Swedish methods, Myofascial (deep tissue) massage, Accupressure (massaging certain tender points, called "ashi points" along the body), Hydrotherapy (hot and cold therapy), Aromatherapy and Reflexology. Each session is tailored to the client's goals as well as their needs on that particular day, making each session unique.
Hours and Rates
Kim is currently seeing clients on a by-appointment basis on Saturdays from 9:00am until 5:30pm. Other days/hours may be available upon request. Please call or e-mail for more information.
Wellness Massage
60 minutes: $65
90 minutes: $90
Fertility Massage

Out Call (within 15 miles), 90 minutes: $125
Infant Massage and Instruction
Infant Massage, 45 minutes: $50
Infant Massage with Parent Instruction, 60 minutes: $65
Add-Ons
These services may be added on to any treatment, excluding infant massage.
Hydrotherapy:
Hot/Cold Compress--great for swelling, muscle pain and soreness, sports injuries
Ice Massage--wonderful therapy for sub-actue swelling, pain and edema
Dry Brushing--this gentle treatment is used for lymphatic drainage and boosts the immune system Add one half hour to session time
Cold Mitt Friction--this exhilarating loofah mitt treatment increases circulation, exfoliates the skin, improves mood and increases energy Add one half hour to session time
Castor Oil Pack--warming therapy that increases circulation, relieves pain, reduces muscle tension and 'armoring' and draws out toxins.
Hot Ginger Feet Fomentation--this aromatic treatment soothes tired, aching feet Add $10 to session
Aromatherapy: $5
I blend a custom massage oil using the highest-quality essential oils to use during your session, and you recieve a small bottle to take home.
Education and Training
Kim Boomhower is a graduate of Body Therapy Institute, an accredited massage therapy school which has been changing lives for twenty-five years. Body Therapy Institue is situated on a beautiful 150-acre farm in Siler City, NC, and is the premier school of massage and bodywork therapy on the east coast. Kim also has special training in Nurturing the Mother, under Clair Marie Miller, a leading authority and instructor in Fertility, Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Infant massage. In this program, Kim learned many ways to support mothers during the process of conception, pregnancy, birth, and post labor. Kim is a Nationally Certified, North Carolina Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, and is a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.
About Kim Boomhower
Kim was born 6 pounds and 8 ounces on September 9th, 1981, at 3:11pm in South Boston, Virginia. Her mother was never in active labor; when her water broke, Kim's head crowned. She has continued to maintain this eagerness and passion for life and learning and is dedicated to honoring the creation of all human life through therpeutic touch. Kim lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her husband Jeremy, and their cats.
